General software pricing & licensing guidelines

What is included in the license?

• Use of the software and its management tools, standard 24/7/365 technical support, software updates and new versions
• Sophos Anti-Virus licenses also include a limited license for home use
• Sophos Client Firewall licenses do not include home use
• Sophos Mobile Security is licensed on a per device per year basis

Calculating number of licenses and price:

• The number of user licenses needed for each product is the greater of the total number of "computers" or "users" being protected by that product
• All prices are per user license and are exclusive of tax
• The price per product/add-on is calculated by multiplying the number of users/computers by the price per user/computer
• The total price is the sum of all of the individual products multiplied by any applicable sector discount
• Sophos Anti-Virus, Sophos Client Firewall and SAVI licenses can be used on any combination of supported operating systems

Endpoint & Fileserver pricing & licensing guidelines

• If all computers and users in an organisation are being protected by Sophos Anti-Virus, then a server is counted as a computer and added to the total number of computers. e.g. 100 users with 100 desktop computers and 15 servers require a 115 user license at '100-199' band
• If only server protection is required, the per server price list can be used as alternative to pricing based on the total number of users
• Only servers used for internal business purposes are covered by this license

Gateway & Mailserver pricing & licensing guidelines

• A PureMessage license covers either Windows/Exchange, Notes/Domino or UNIX. For multiple platforms, an Multi-Platform add-on license is required
• For PureMessage for UNIX, there is a 50 user license minimum. The EP option is only available for the UNIX platform

Add-on pricing & licensing guidelines

• Sophos Mobile Security price band depends on the number of mobile devices protected rather than the quantity of SAV licenses purchased
• Sophos Client Firewall add-ons can be licensed in any quantity less than or equal to the Sophos Anti-Virus license quantity. e.g. 500 SAV and 200 SCF
• If fewer Sophos Client Firewall users are licensed than SAV users the SCF is priced using the user band for the number of SCF licenses issued
• All other add-ons must be licensed in equal quantities

Appliance pricing & licensing guidelines

What is included with the appliance hardware?

• Hardware unit, advance replacement hardware warranty (up to 3 years maximum per appliance), shipping

What is included in the appliance software license?

• License to use the software and management tools on Sophos security appliance hardware, 24/7 technical support, Gateway security software and updates, software updates

Calculating number of licenses and price:

• Price is calculated by adding the hardware price and software license price. Software prices are per user, per year and are exclusive of taxes
• Any sector discounts do not apply to hardware

Optional Support pricing & licensing guidelines

• There is a minimum price per year listed that overrides any discounting
• Standard multi-year discounts can be applied (these also apply to the minimum price): 2 yrs @ 1.5x, 3 yrs @ 2x, 5 yrs @ 3x
• Sector discounts can be applied up to the maximum value listed

Website product pricing

In the event a product on this website is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error, Utilize plc shall have the right to refuse or cancel any enquiries or orders placed for product(s) listed at the incorrect price.
